Strategies for Healthy Marriages in Texas Led by: Drs. Bobbye & Britton Wood, Leader Couple, A.C.M.E. Ambassadors for Better Marriages Texas has too many divorces -- Texans can change this trend. All interested individuals and marriage education related agencies, coalitions and organizations in Texas that enrich marriages and/or better equip couples considering marriage are encouraged to come together to plan strategies for building a marriage network encompassing the state. This workshop will endeavor to find ways to implement all kinds of efforts and training venues to help couple relationships start right and encourage marital growth. Issues to be addressed include: best practices for premarital education programs, training requirements, utilizing trained marriage education leaders, and exploring strategies for the implementation of programs to better prepare couples for marriage.

Please see the registration form in this brochure to register for this workshop.

ABOUT THE WEEKEND

The Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (ACME) is an international organization that promotes better marriages. Each year the Texas Council of ACME presents the Marriage Enrichment Weekend as a continuing celebration of enhancing marriages. This year's schedule begins on Friday with an optional daytime workshop. The weekend program begins Friday evening. There will be opportunities to learn together as a couple, experience marriage enrichment, and meet with new and longtime friends. Participants will be able to attend two keynote addresses and three different workshops. Optional opportunities include the Friday workshop and Sunday fun activities. We hope to see you there!

KEYNOTE COUPLE
This year, we are fortunate to have Diane & Ken Martin as our keynote speakers to lead us on our Safari. They were trained by David & Vera Mace, the founders of ACME, and have served many years on both the national and state boards. Diane & Ken are not only certified trainers in the U.S., but their foreign travels have also given them the opportunity to do ACME training in Nairobi, Kenya and Santiago, Chile. Many of you have participated in and enjoyed various workshops this dynamic couple has presented at several Texas ACME Conferences. Their Safari training comes from 46 years of marriage, raising five children, owning many restaurants, and experiencing a month-long African Safari.
